I am a nurse with a passion for technology especially mobile health apps, also known as mHealth, for nurses and patients. The possibilities of mobile technology is so exciting with endless options to change how we care and treat patients at the bedside and in the home. I believe we have just begun to tap into the potential of mHealth.

Over the course of my nursing career, I have experience in med-surge, adult medical ICU, geriatric case management, and nursing informatics. I became interesting in mHealth while working in the ICU. Many patients would ask for tools to assist with the management of common chronic health conditions, and I started to explore the available mHealth apps. I expanded my knowledge of mHealth while pursuing my MSN in Nursing Informatics. Now as a PhD candidate, I am expanding the evidence on mHealth especially from the perspective of the nurse.
